Beth Morris is the founder of the community art school ‘Beth Morris Workshops’, based at Insole Court in Cardiff. With a master’s in art and design, PGCE and a published author (in thirteen languages), Beth’s accolades are extensive. Beth is an educator, creator and motivator in all thing’s arts and crafts, with a passion for wellbeing and improving mental health through creative socialising.
Adventurer, This Girl Walks
Carys is an outdoor lover on a mission to empower women, helping them to experience the freedom and euphoria of solo adventuring. Carys is a hiker, swimmer, wild camper and paddler who runs the This Girl Walks website, which shares routes, hints, tips and discounts to help get you outside. Originally from Carmarthenshire, Carys grew up with the countryside on her doorstep, carrying her love for green spaces with her to Cardiff over 20 years ago.
Writer and Poet, Talk to Coco
Coco is a non-binary creative writer and poet, mental health & LGBTQ+ activist, who uses their platform as a lens to dismantle stereotypes. Coco has been published in books, tv commercials and collaborated with worldwide organisations such as UNWOMEN, BBC, Yahoo UK and Wagamama’s (just to name a few). Coco continues to be the face for change, to show that it’s ok to be different, creating a ‘new normal’ for those that need it.
Dixie is a rising star in the Cardiff drag scene, performing all over the UK with her cabaret show — she can usually be found in Mary’s on a Wednesday hosting Cabaroke. With just four years under her belt, Dixie is quickly becoming an audience favourite. She is excited to be a part of the judging panel for this year’s Cardiff Life Awards and can’t wait to give some well-deserved recognition to the amazing businesses and organisations in Cardiff.

Dominic Attard is the business centre manager of Lexus Cardiff, based on Hadfield Road. Known for his innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, he has received numerous, prestigious awards from Lexus UK as recognition for Lexus Cardiff’s outstanding achievements in innovation and customer service. Community minded, Dominic has built long lasting relationships with local businesses and charities and is very much a people person. A proud Welshmen, his ‘can do’ attitude really makes things happen.
Dean of the Cardiff School of Education & Social Policy, Cardiff Metropolitan University
Julia is dean of the Cardiff School of Education at Cardiff Metropolitan University. She has an MSc coaching science degree from UWIC, a Certificate of Education teaching qualification and a BEd from Barry Teacher Training College. However, her achievements don’t stop there – Julia is also a former Wales international netball player with 25 caps, and former international coach. Julia is passionate about teaching, helping to provide children in Wales with a high quality education.

Fluent in Welsh and a passionate advocate for promoting the Capital City of Wales, Menna also champions Welsh Independent Businesses, enabling them to ‘pop-up’ to experience High Street retailing.
